RULES

	The VHL (Vitucci Hockey League) is a league made strictly for fun played by friends and family of the Brothers Vitucci.  We are 4 brothers (Gianni, Carlo, Fab, Dave) and we each are reps of our own team. As well as my brothers the rest of the league is made up of family, friends and friends of family and friends.Please realize even though we keep score and have a championship and the LEAGUE OF FRIENDS TROPHY, winning is not the most important thing - in fact many games we don't even have a referee. The most important thing is having fun, meeting and networking with new people and playing some good ol clean and fast Hockey.  With that being said, below are the rules. RULES: For Playoff info please see link below: http://vhlnation.blogspot.ca/2012/05/2012-vhl-playoff-format.html Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Considering this is a glorified pickup league, you shouldn't have to be a brain surgeon to realize what is sportsmanlike and not. ANY STICKS ON ANOTHER PLAYER IS UNACCEPTABLE!. When agreeing to play in this fun league you agree to disciplinary action at any time by The Commish and the Disciplinary Committee. Faceoffs - if there is no ref to drop puck after all goals - method will be determined prior to game. All goals scored on an empty net must be shot from over centre line. If the goalie makes a save and has the puck, no digging for the puck as many times the goalie just drops the puck for one of his teammates.
	Pucks out of play - puck goes back to the team opposed to last touch.
	Offside and disputed goal will be resolved by voluntary referee
	Any discrepancies when no referee is present - the 2 team reps determine the call. Johnny Da Grip Rule: No substitutes - subs allowed only in times of bereavement.
	Penalties:  FIFA rules for avg infractions - when there is a trip etc.the victim team regains possession of puck.
	For non avg infraction (taking away a scoring chance) a penalty shot will ensue
	In the event of a tie at the end of regulation - if there is no ice rental after the VHL, sudden death shootout i.e. both teams shoot at opposite ends first goal scored (if the other team is stopped) wins the game.
	The losing team will still get the point. The winning team will get 2 points.
